New birds here I come!

I am leaving Tuesday for a week in Florida including a few days camping in the Dry Tortugas. I have my target birds all set out on an excel spreadsheet, rated as probable, possible, or unlikely. I am guessing I will add maybe 15-20 new birds to my life list. It seems you always miss a few you think you'd for sure see, and then get a few that you really weren't counting on. That's part of the fun, I think. You really can't know for sure what will show up or what the weather will be, etc. So, whatever happens, it will be an adventure. I may try to post to my blog from Florida, if not I'll do a full write-up when I return.

Spring projects

The snow is melting and it's nice today,
So, of course we have some projects underway,
The wit and IPA in secondary they now reside,
To be consumed on our patio, with our kids, outside.
And Marianne is sanding the wood table down,
And she'll make it like new, no foolin' around.
Meanwhile, Te Beagh basks somewhere in the sun,
That's her version of good springtime fun.
So, gotta keep this short and get those projects done,
For tomorrow may rain, but today we got sun!

Guest room is done!

Quentin's old bedroom is now another guest bedroom and it's good timing too. Penny and Ted are coming today for a visit and that's where they'll stay. It came out really nice. Marianne, as always, did a great job on the color scheme. And we got a glider chair, which is very comfy. So, the Hollywood St. B&B keeps growing!

Cute Te Beagh pix

Well, these aren't as exciting as pictures of Tucker, but they are still cute! We pulled out a few old stuffed toys that we had gotten from when Te Beagh was a puppy and she got attached to one and now loves it! Also, Marianne got me this great corn, bungee cord squirrel feeder thingy. The squirrels really do like it, and it keeps them occupied, away from my bird feeders, and is fun to watch. But Te Beagh knows the squirrels come there, so maybe she thinks if she sits real still next to it, they will still come! Cute!
