Kitchen remodel

We are in the process of doing some remodeling in the kitchen. We're getting new countertops and a new sink, and will paint the cabinets and walls a new color. We're also putting in new tile on the wall behind the sink and stove, which meant taking out the old tile, which meant taking out the drywall, which means putting in new drywall, .... Anyway, you get the idea. Here are a few photos - the "before" shots that will make the end product seem even more amazing! But before we started all of this, you will see that I am boiling our FIRST BATCH OF BEER! We are making an amber ale, which will be ready in time for Laurel and Freddie's visit for the marathon. Yipperooney!

Holy crap! Good thing you made the beer before you wrecked your kitchen! :) Yay beer! Is it fermenting well?

That's a way bigger project that I realized - what fun! I'm actually itching for some house work after taking such a break after the basement nightmare, I suspect the next effort will be outside...

Good to see that jigsaw still in action! I remember breaking many of your blades in that thing... (oops - did I say that out loud?)

Mmmm.. looks good! Well, not the beer so much. And not the kitchen so much. But they are both in the process of becoming great! Can't wait for my visit to CO to see all the work you've done on the house and to try your very first batch of beer! Mmmm!

Me toooo! I'm excited about your upcoming visit to Chicago and our upcoming visit to FoCo.

The Schroeders sure know how to keep busy with projects. I feel like building something too. Did Laurel mention we painted a piggy bank the other day?
