Te Beagh and Regan

After having Regan for so many years, it is hard to believe that a dog could not just gulp down all her food at every meal, But Te Beagh is quite different, at least in this first week. She is much less interested in her food, and will eat a few bites, walk away, come back for another piece of kibble, sit down, etc. Then eagle eye Regan will seize any chance to finish off all of Te Beagh's food if we aren't watching! Part of it may be the first week and change of environment, and nerves. But I read online that some dogs are really that way - nibblers they call them. I guess Regan would be in a class called gulpers, or swallow-but-don't chew!

We are loving our doggies - they are playing some, and Regan has to give Te Beagh some harsh words sometimes to keep her in check. It's a lot of work, but so far Te Beagh is doing really well. she has not peed or pooped in the house even once! We have her signed up for puppy classes starting on May 9, and she'll get some socializing there too.

She is soo adorable! I hope she doesn't mind a new person coming to live with her and love on her in June.

Ahhh! What fun! I'm glad to hear they're getting along, and also glad to hear that Rager is able to regulate a bit when she needs to -- puppies need to learn their limits and that sometimes mouth games hurt, and there's nothing like an older dog to lay down the law... :)
