Essay on Refuge work
I just found out that an essay I wrote concerning ecological sustainability in the Refuge System was published online. You can check it out here if you want. Probably not the most exciting read, but gives you an idea of my work lately!

Ooh I totally geeked out on this! So have you been working with refuges as they develop their CCPs or just evaluating them once they are complete? The issues with maintaining and restoring historic conditions are especially interesting to me - how the ways surrounding lands are being managed, used, or developed affects them, and how climate change might impact the species that can survive there. And Nate will be so proud when he sees that you suggested blogging as a way for different refuges to network and share ideas, experiences, and results! Thanks for sharing Ricky!
