Rare bird visits Colorado

The headline from today's paper was "Rare bird drops in. Streak-backed oriole likely taking a northern vacation." The article is a fun read, and I'm thinking of heading down to the person's house to this week to try and see the bird. It would be a new one for me, and although I usually like to find them myself, this is so close and so unusual, it is worth a short trip. A nice little Christmas gift!

Cool! What a pretty bird, and interesting that it's up that far north. Sounds like a field trip is in order!

A life list bird?? WooHoo! You should be able to see it . . . but as the article says, this bird does have wings so it might not stick around too long! Better make it out there while you can!

That's a pretty bird, good luck in your hunt! Unless it's all just a trick by this woman to get 300 people to visit her. :)
