Kitchen counters and doggie updates

Today we got our kitchen counters installed and they fit - hurray! Now we can look at tile colors and then the sink etc! It looks really nice, as Laurel is happy to show you.

And we started puppy classes for Te Beagh. she was kind of shy at first, but then during play time she warmed up and started playing with a dachshund puppy - they were having a blast! Now she is exhausted from all the activity. Laurel is definitely in love with Te Beagh - Freddie will likely be pretty jealous of the photo of the two of them!

We went to Avos with Laurel today and got the two-for-one tempeh burgers. Yum! It's fun having her here, and last night was very special - I beat her in the Word Game!!!!!!

I particularly enjoy that last picture. Laurel looks absolutely insane and I think she's choking Te a bit. Te just looks . . . compressed.

The counters look really good! Where's the hole for the sink though? Hehe. And what is that extra layer of counter next to the stove? For cutting?

Wow - the kitchen looks amazing! I can't believe it, those colors all go really well together and the flowers just make it all pop! And the counters are awesome, are those granite or marble?? I'm sure you must have said, but I forget. But yeah, I'm with Q, that extra piece looks like a sweet cutting board which means they must be some sort of stone...? And you're going to tile over the drywall to make a backsplash?

And yes, Laurel's clearly waaay to obsessed with Te Bheag - how else do you explain losing at the word game? :)

The counters are Corian, not granite. It is solid through, not a laminate, and is very durable. Should be good. the extra piece is just a little cutting board that matches the counter top. I'm going to the tile place today to get samples, so soon we'll have that part done too. The sink - we're still waiting!
