Upcoming fun!

Well, the presidential election has been getting a lot of attention, so I thought it was time to change the subject! How about a sneak preview of some upcoming fun?

First, Diane and Dick are coming for a week visit, starting next Sunday. Marianne and I have been making some plans:

- A trip to Rocky Mountain park to hear the elk bugle.

- A trip west of Colorado Springs to ride up Pikes peak on the cog railway. And then some time in Cripple Creek to ride a steam engine train, and tour an old gold mine. We'll stay two nights at a nice cabin in Green Mountain Falls.

- And of, course, some rousing games of Crokinole!

Then, October 2-11, we're off to Barcelona Spain. I'll attend parts of the World Conservation Congress, while Marianne explores museums, art, and the streets of Barcelona. We hope to take a bike ride to some vineyards, visit a nearby monastery, and generally relax and have a great time.

So, that ought to take my mind off politics for a while. Then when we get back, I can write more letters to the editor, donate more to Obama, wear my new Obama t-shirt, and help push Colorado over the top!

Yay for fun! That all sounds pretty nice. Not a bad distraction from the election madness for a while.

Sounds like a good plan! I've never heard of that cog railway, you'll have to post some pictures of that... Enjoy the visit!
