Birthday Beers
Well, it's not too bad turning 56 when your wife helps you celebrate by buying three great beers! My favorite was definitely the Chimay. All three were good, but the Chimay really hit the spot for me. But I still have a hard time describing what I am tasting and what it is that I like about a certain beer ( or wine for that matter). But, I guess that doesn't really matter - what matters is enjoying the ones I really like!

That's totally the truth - I think people can get caught up on "I detect a plum note" and such, but what really matters is knowing what you like! Me, I'm sipping a 1554 clone for a nightcap, and I sure do like it!
Mmm, I love me a good 1554. I wonder if there's any in the fridge . . . .
